MATERIAL: Troctolite

The troctolite is a mafic intrusive rock type. It consists essentially of major but variable amounts of olivine and calcic plagioclase along with minor pyroxene. Thus, troctolite is necessarily a cumulate of crystals that have fractionated from melt.
